The Kumander Linux team presents the second Release Candidate of version 2.0 "Bulalo", a key milestone on the road to the stable release. This build incorporates the progress made during both the RC1 and RC2 phases, including a deep overhaul of the administration tools, internationalization, and visual experience. It is a preview aimed at testers and enthusiasts who want an early look at the system and wish to contribute to the final round of polishing. The work behind this release candidate reflects a clear direction for the 2.0 series: a lighter, more modern, and more international distribution that stays true to the familiar feel that has defined Kumander Linux since its first release, while embracing the needs of a growing and diverse user base.

WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION KUMANDER LINUX 2.0 RC2

• Reduced the ISO file size from 4.8 GB to 3.5 GB, thanks to the careful removal of unnecessary packages and media.
• Added the "Start offline install" option to the ISO menu, intended for users with built-in Wi-Fi devices but without an active Internet subscription.
• Introduced the new System Manager, a comprehensive tool that lets you monitor the system, manage users, sniff network traffic, read log files, and much more.
• The Welcome app and the System Manager are now available in five languages: Danish, Spanish, German, French, and Tagalog (Filipino).
• Added the "Windows Apps" category to the start menu, which uses the latest version of Wine to help run Windows applications.
• Added boot and shutdown screens to the system.
• Added a login theme sound.
• Upgraded LibreOffice to the latest version (24.8.4).
• Added 28 languages to LibreOffice out of the box.
• Migrated the login system from the abandoned Antergos Web Greeter to the more modern JezerM Web Greeter.
• Fixed an issue with the Web-Greeter related to a timeout that resulted in theme errors.
• Fixed the issue regarding incorrect timezone after install.
• Added "Time and Date" to the Settings Manager, allowing users to set the system's time, date, and timezone.
• Added spell check functionality to Notepad.
• Added all home folders to Thunar's bookmarks (side panel shortcuts).
• Added new shortcuts to XFCE's UI, including "Start System Manager" and "Use Labels" on the taskbar, and "Screen Resolution..." on the desktop.
• Implemented several tweaks to XFCE to make it more user-friendly for people familiar with Windows.
• Redesigned the Kumander logo to reflect the "Aero" style of Windows 7.
• Many other changes and improvements have been made and will be documented in detail for the final 2.0 release.
