The Kumander Linux community is proud to announce the official release of version 2.0 "Bulalo", an edition that represents the most significant evolution of the project to date. This release brings together months of work focused on modernizing the system, improving the user experience, and delivering a more familiar environment for those coming from the Windows world, without sacrificing the stability and freedom that GNU/Linux provides. With a lighter ISO, a brand-new System Manager, expanded language support, and deeper integration with Wine for running Windows applications, Kumander Linux 2.0 consolidates everything learned during the 1.x series and sets a solid foundation for the future of the distribution.

WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION KUMANDER LINUX 2.0 FINAL

• Added support for UEFI installation, expanding compatibility with modern hardware.
• Fixed the issue with Wine applications not centering on screen at startup, courtesy of Devilspie2.
• Associated *.exe and *.msi files with Wine, so they can be run directly from the file manager and the desktop.
• Added new icons for *.exe and *.msi files.
• Added the Winamp installer to the Windows Apps start menu.
• Fixed the issue that prevented desktop launchers from being executed, by automatically trusting all desktop launchers.
• Added a complete sound theme based on the Smooth sound theme.
• Added a script that sets the volumes at first login: Main Volume at 100% and System Sounds at 75%.
• Added RAM and Swap statistics to the System Manager under "Overview > Statistics".
• Changed the log rotation of "Syslog", "Auth.log", "Kern.log" and "Boot.log" to rotate at boot/reboot.
• Changed the log rotation of "apt/history.log" to never rotate, keeping all entries in "Deb apps" permanently.
• Fixed the issue in the System Manager that displayed incorrect information about the number of logins, time spent, and last login in "Logs > Userlog".
• Added the "Logged In" field to System Manager > Logs > Userlog.
• Added the "Application Database" to the Windows Apps menu, where users can check the compatibility level of applications.
• Added Brazilian Portuguese translations to the System Manager and the Welcome app.
• Removed Firefox from the system, as Mozilla is turning it into a spy/adware platform. Brave Browser has been adopted as the default browser instead.
