We are sharing the roadmap for the next major version of Kumander Linux. Kumander 3.0 will be based on Debian 13 Trixie when it is released as stable, and will include the following planned features: optional Wayland session support while keeping X11 as default, Timeshift pre-installed with an initial setup wizard, a new Calamares-based installer, a unified software center with integrated APT and Flatpak support, and an LXQt option as a lightweight alternative desktop. Development is in the active planning stage and we expect to have a first alpha available in the second half of 2026. We invite the community to participate with suggestions in the proposals forum.
